Popular among many special effects artists, Monster Makers RD-407 can be brushed or poured into gypsum molds. It features a quick skin build-up, excellent detail reproduction and a fast demold. It can be painted with adhesive based paints. Monster Makers RD-407 comes as a naturally viscous material that yields a stretchy but durable rubber upon curing. This is the original RD-407 formulation originally sold by R&D Latex Company in commerce California: a recipe that is now well over 50 years old!

It is suggested that during the winter months or when temperatures are below freezing at your order's destination you choose an express shipping method such as Next Day or Second Day Air when you order this product. Of course if your order destination falls within the 1-day transit time area which is the Yellow area on the UPS Ground service map shown below, selecting Next Day Air service is probably not necessary as it will only get your package to you a few hours sooner. UPS usually delivers Next Day Air packages before 12-noon but they have until the end of the day to deliver Ground packages. We haven't experienced any problems using express shipping, however, please be aware that the customer orders products that can be damaged by freezing at their own risk since UPS and USPS shipping insurance doesn't cover freezing damage. |
