Mehron Castor Sealer is specially formulated to prepare cured latex bald caps and other prosthetic appliances to accept standard theatrical cream makeup.
If you are unable to use a Rubber Mask Grease makeup as the first layer of makeup in contact with the latex or foam latex prosthetic appliance using the castor sealer first will make your makeup look more life like and less chalky than if you did not use it. RMG makeup which is made with castor oil instead of mineral oil is the preferred makeup to use on latex rubber appliances, but when you don't have the right color coating the appliance with castor sealer will also work in a pinch.
Coat the latex or foam latex prosthetic appliance with a thin layer of castor sealer and blot off the excess prior to applying theatrical cream makeup to protect the appliance from the mineral oils in the theatrical cream makeup.
